DJ Mag’s Bag Of Surprises

The biggest surprise in the top five was hardworking American DJ Dan. DJ Dan and fellow Yank Christopher Lawrence both managed to squeeze their name in amongst the list’s standard entrants Paul van Dyk, Tiesto and Armin van Buuren.
This year’s list was peppered with surprise new entries thanks to many of previous artists falling dramatically down the chart. Sasha and Digweed both took a downward slide as did Richie Hawtin despite last year’s hints that minimal was starting to take over. The biggest victim was outspoken British techno DJ Dave Clarke who fell a massive 64 places since last year.
Much like a democratic government, the DJ Mag Top 100 has once again reminded people that public voting systems cater to the general populace and not to individual belief.
