イギリスのシェフィールドに店を構えるスーパークラブ Gatecrusher の１０周年を記念してリリースされたコンピレーション作品。同クラブを象徴するようなトランス/ハウス系のビッグ・チューンばかりが、３枚組５０曲に渡って収録されている。

元々は９３年ごろに Tardebigge のパブで開催されるパーティーとしてスタートした Gatecrusher は、その後クラブとしてシェフィールドに根を下ろし、イギリスの９０年代におけるクラブ史を塗り替えるような伝説的パーティーを数多く生み出してきたことで知られている。特に、トランスやハードハウスのフィールドにおいての影響力は計り知れず、Paul van Dyk、Tiësto、Judge Jules、Mauro Picotto、Eddie Halliwell といった今をときめくトップスター達も、みなこのクラブを通って大きく育っていったと言っても過言ではないだろう。

収録されている曲は、いずれをとっても大型のクラブ・ヒット・チューンばかり。単に Gatecrusher のコンピとしてだけでなく、クラブ・ミュージックの歴史を総なめにするお得なコンピレーションであるとも言えよう。(H.Nakamura)
