The Trip の新作は Tom Middleton がコンパイル

これまでに Dirty Vegas や Joey Negro などが参加してきた UK の Family Recordings のコンピレーションCD シリーズ "The Trip" の次回作は、イギリスの名プロデューサー Tom Middleton がコンパイルすることが明らかになった。
かつては Richard James (Aphex Twin) と活動を共にし、のちには Mark Pritchard と共に Jedi Knights や Global Communication の名義で数々の名作を世に送り出してきた Tom Middleton。そんなベテランの彼が、自身の iTunes プレイ・リストから選出した趣味的な楽曲をコンパイルしたものが本作だ。
プログレッシヴ・ロック〜テレビ番組の主題歌など、その内容は決してクラブ系オンリーといったものではないが、彼の長いキャリアに裏打ちされた音楽センスやバック・ボーンが楽しめる興味深いものとなっている。
