Resist から “World’s Greatest Trance” が発売

今週末に来日を予定している M.A.N.D.Y. や、イギリスの鬼才 James Holden がコンパイルした “At The Controls” 、 “Bugged Out!” などのリリースで知られるイギリスのレーベル Resist が新たなコンピレーション・シリーズ “World’s Greatest…” をリリースすることが明らかになった。
名前からも予測できる通り、各ジャンルをピックアップし、そのジャンルを代表する名曲を紹介していくというコンセプトを持つ “World’s Greatest…” シリーズの記念すべき第一弾を飾るのは トランス 。３枚組の CD には、Tiesto や Above & Beyond といったアーティストの作品が収録されている Disc 1 の Euphoric Trance 、テッキーでダークなトランスが収録されている Disc 2 の Tech & Psy Trance、 Armin Van Buuren リミックスによる ‘Devotion’ や ‘Age Of Love’ の Paul Van Dyk リミックスなどのアンセム が収録されている Disc 3 Trance Anthems と、それぞれのコンセプトでコンパイルされている。
Resist Music は、その親レーベルである React Music がディストリビューターの倒産によりクローズに追い込まれた２００４年に誕生したレーベル。ちなみに、 React は初めて二枚組のミックス CD をマーケットに紹介したことでも有名なレーベルであり、 Carl Cox による “F.A.C.T.” などをリリースしていた。
“World’s Greatest Trance” は２月２６日に発売。
