Frenchman Laurent Garnier and Detroit techno advocate Carl Craig have been called upon to don their regal attire for the release of "Kings Of Techno". The two CD set pits Craig's patented Detroit sound against Laurent's more eclectic style evidenced by the inclusion of tracks by the Stooges and Aretha Franklin.
"Kings Of Techno" is the sixth outing for the Rapster label and their "Kings Of" series. For those who haven't been keeping score, we have already seen Masters At Work sit on the throne as "Kings Of House" as well as Dimitri from Paris and Joey Negro wearing the crown for "Kings Of Disco".
Both artists have been putting together their own separate best of compilations as well with Garnier pulling out classics like 'Man With The Red Face' for his "Retrospective" compilation and Craig revisiting crowd favourites like 'Bugs In The Bass Bin' for his own compilation "From The Vault" which will be released this month.
"Kings Of Techno" is out on Rapster Records in October.
