Germany invades Eastern Europe
October 22nd will see Germany's ten year old TDK Time Warp event make its first showing in Eastern Europe when it will be held in Prague which is rapidly overtaking Berlin as the new European hotspot. This move follows a trend of TDK Time Warp events held outside of the bratwurst nation after September 10th this year transported Time Warp to Vienna. The lineup for the event being held at Prumyslovy Palac includes Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Tiefschwarz, Monika Kruse, Mauro Picotto, Marco V and Tube Tech (live). Loyal visitors to TDK Time Warp's Mannheim events needn't worry about the forays into all parts of Europe as April 8th 2006 sees the Time Warp return once again to its German home.
The event promoters have also released a DVD to commemorate their 10 years in the business. Features include interviews with DJs who have played at TDK Time Warp over the past decade such as Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and Laurent Garnier. Also included on the disc is live footage from the gigs over the years including Cosmic Baby's appearance way back when in 1995. The DVD release also coincides with TDK Time Warp's latest mix CD from flavour of the month DJ Hell. (Nick Lawrence)
