Neapolitan techno DJ/producer Marco Carola is finally going to release his first ever DJ mix CD despite getting started in the business over ten years ago. And what better place to start for your cherry popping mix than the prestigious Fabric series? That’s right, come November Mr. Italian Techno himself will be chopping, cutting, mixing and fading 18 tracks from his crate for “Fabric 31”.
Marco will of course be adding his name to a long list of respected DJs including pioneers like Akufen, Eddie Richards and Terry Francis. Both the Fabric CD series and the London club itself have long been known for pushing many strains of techno and house but it seems as of late their policy is slightly changing with the Farringdon location playing host to the DJ Mag Top 100 Party later this month with a lineup that includes Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk and Sander van Doorn.
Carola’s “Fabric 31” sees the likes of Richie Hawtin’s new mate Matt John placed alongside the likes of Barcelona based producer Paco Osuna and Scotland’s favourite techno artist, Alex Smoke. Marco’s selection of tunes shows a definite leaning toward the current minimal sound with labels like Perlon, Minus, Found Sound and Trapez all making the grade.
“Fabric 31” will be released on Novemeber 13 in the UK and December 12 in the rest of the World.
