Egypt Terror Attacks Upset Ministry of Sound's Launch

Ministry Of Sound Red Sea have announced they'll be delaying the opening of their new weekly parties at Pacha in Egypt following the country's latest terrorist attacks in Daham, which left scores of people killed and maimed.

"We are all OK and safe after the bombings in Daham, but Sharm El Sheikh is only 45 minutes away, so we've decided to postpone the launch of Ministry of Sound at Pacha for one month," Ministry chief Paul King told Skrufff, "We also feel that promoting a new party at this time would be insensitive to our Egyptian friends."

Ministry also issued a defiant press release stressing their long term commitment to developing the club.

"Ministry Of Sound Red Sea works with Egyptian people across the country and feels deeply saddened by the recent events. We extend our sympathy to the families and friends to all those affected," the statement said.

"Ministry Of Sound will continue to support the people and their thriving economies, not only in Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, but throughout all of Egypt," they promised.

The new club's opening will now take place on Saturday June 3rd, with original guest DJs Marc Hughes and Nick Bridges yet to reconfirm though Nick told Skrufff he's happy to do it, schedule permitting.

"I'm obviously saddened by the recent events but it doesn't really effect my opinion on Egypt and playing over there," he said.

"Unfortunately, I've had to think about this question before having played in London three times on the weekend after the July 7 bombs and also in Madrid, a week after those bombs," he continued. "I'm definitely still up for going back to Egypt, whenever they want me."
