With April's TDK Timewarp already a distant memory the audio company's next festival is currently on our minds. As previously reported, TDK Cross Central will be held over the weekend of 26th & 27th of August at the Kings Cross Goods Yard in London. However, since the initial announcements regarding festival lineup it has recently been revealed that cult hits of the clubbing world will be gracing the two day event with their presence.
First off is Ibiza's Monday morning underground smash hit Circo Loco who will be bringing Tania Vulcano, Cirillo and Dan Ghenacia to England's shores along with their German techno sounds. In addition to DC10's favourite party Ninja Tune will also be making an appearance on the 27th and towing along Amon Tobin, hexstatic and others for some hip hop & beats madness.
In conjunction with Cross Central and all of TDK's other activities across Europe the people famous for their audio cassettes have launched a new initiative to promote new musical talent. The project is called TDKMIX and it involves gathering unreleased tracks from flourishing musicians and releasing it three times a year as totally free mp3 sampler available for download to all new music fans and free music scabs through the TDKMIX official site.
To get your music onto the mp3 showcase all you need to do is drop a demo into any one of the TDKMIX boxes that will be posted at events and music schools around Europe. For musicians who can't get to one of the TDKMIX boxes due to distance, lack of funds or pure complacency it is possible to submit your entries directly through the TDKMIX website.
