John 00 Fleming returns to the decks this weekend, just three weeks after being run over by a motorboat in a freak motorboat accident
The hard trance star suffered a punctured lung, dislocated shoulder, a deep gash to the arm and several broken ribs, his publicists revealed, though has now recovered sufficiently to resume his schedule of gigs.
"John would like to take the opportunity to thank the hundreds of people who sent their good wishes, he's overwhelmed and touched by the response which he believes helped him make a speedy recovery," a Most Wanted press officer explained.
"His shoulder is taking its time to heal and the restricted movement will means he can't perform any of his trademark "aeroplane poses" but he's itching to start playing-out again," she added.
The unlucky DJ plays the Wavestock Festival this weekend then flies out to Lebanon's notorious capital Beirut on August 5 to spin at the Lebanon Summer Festival @ Eddé Sands Beach Resort. Chatting to Skrufff several years ago, he admitted his favourite destination was neighbouring hotspot Israel, despite its even more dangerous reputation.
"All the trouble in Israel is on the West Bank, on their border, on the road to Jerusalem. The media makes it much worse than it is in reality. If you go to Tel Aviv, chances are that you won't even realise there's a war going on. It's just a normal city," said John.
"Ten years ago people in the UK didn't go to London for fear of being bombed by the IRA. In actual fact, it wasn't as dangerous as the press depicted it," he said. (Jonty Skrufff/Skrufff.com)
