international news _ 2nd January, 2005
Feeling left out of the recent glut of awards ceremonies the Trance community has come together to form, yes you guessed it, The International Trance Music Awards. Another cunning ploy by the industry to sell more records, well probably, but then if it gets more people into trance then who cares, right...?
The event will take place on the 25th February at Slinky in the Bournmouth Opera House (I wonder who will win the award for best club ) with Ferry Corsten, (I'll eat my hat if he doesn't win something as well) headlining the event supported by as yet unconfirmed special guests. The award ceremony will be followed by the DJs and it's going to be hands in the air dancey trance all night long so if a evening of glo sticking it up is your bag then get down to Slinky on the 25th. If Bournmouth is a little too far or a little uninspiring for you to journey to you can still have your say online with the awards website open now for trance fans around the world to cast their vote. All voters will receive an exclusive MP3 from event sponsors Armada Music and Mondo Records as well as being entered into a competition to win a Denon CDJ.
For more details on the event check out their website. (Matt Cheetham)
