American Grammy award winning producers and DJs, the formidable Deep Dish have announced details of a four album deal with a label fast gaining popularity in the US for the US release of some of the most high profile albums on the dance music market today. LA based label Thrive Recordings.
The US home of labels such as Renaissance, Underwater, Perfecto and Global Underground the label releases compilations and artist albums from the likes of Oakenfold, Sandra Collins, Emmerson, Dave Seaman, Hernan Cattaneo and Seb Fontaine the label has been in the spotlight recently with the US release of Roni Size's latest artist album, 'Return of V' in October.
The deal that will include compilations as well as original material will begin with the commercial US release of Deep Dish's 'Flashdance', a track that's been hammered since it's debut at Miami early in 2004. A limited vinyl release on Yoshitoshi was followed by a download only release on itunes but this will see it hitting the shelves around the country. The extent to which Deep Dish's label Yoshitoshi will play in the deal is still unclear and the duo have so far been unavailable to comment.
Plans for the release of Deep Dish's third studio album, the as yet untitled follow up to 1998's 'Junk Science' have pointed towards a March release although this has yet to be confirmed. (Matt Cheetham)
