Electro pioneer Gary Numan, who once became notorious for publicly supporting Tory despot Margaret Thatcher in the 80s, chatted to Skrufff this week about his upcoming new artist album Jagged and revealed that he's unimpressed with new Conservative leader David Cameron.
"I know I've got this reputation as being a full-on Tory but it just isn't true, I certainly didn't vote for them at the last election or the one before that either and I still wouldn't vote Tory today, certainly not based on David Cameron, no," said Gary.
"To be truthful I didn't vote at the last election at all, because I couldn't decide who was the biggest liar out of all of them. 'm very, very disappointed with Tony Blair but I see nothing and nobody else worthy of giving them a try. I find the whole situation quite depressing, there's no-one I believe in whose desire to do good is stronger than their ambition to simply become prime minister. But I'm really not a political animal," he stressed.
Chatting to Skrufff last April, the electro legend blasted Labour's 'double speak' though admitted his biggest political regret remained publicly supporting Thatcher.
"I voted for Margaret Thatcher once and it's lived with me ever since," he confessed, "Like a noose around my neck."
Gary's much anticipated new album Jagged (co-produced by electro-tech rising star Ade Fenton) comes out shortly on Mortal Records
