BK chatted to Skrufff this week about his upcoming remake of Bizarre Inc's rave classic Playing With Knives and stressed he's covering the track because he loves it, rather than to satiate any unhealthy interest in blades.
Instead, the British hard house hedonist claimed he's never even had a fight ('not since I was at infant school') nor owned or carried a knife either ('never!' he stressed).
His experiences contrasted sharply with those of Detroit techno legend Derrick May, who told Skrufff last year that he's absolutely obsessed with knives (though real ones as opposed to the song).
"I have knives all over the ceiling of my loft from all over the world; from Japan, Korea, wherever; I collect them and flick them up into my ceiling," he revealed.
"For the last 15 years, ever since I've been owning the building I live in, I've been doing it and I've got about 50 or 60 knives in the ceiling," said Derrick.
"If you walk into my loft, you'll see knives everywhere, gold handled knives, pearl handled knives, it's my thing," he continued. "I've got some nice cuts from knives, I have to be careful because I'm fast with the hands," he laughed.
BK's Playing with Knives is out on Riot Recordings on February 28.(Jonty Skrufff / Skrufff.com)
