The ZYX Of Minimal Techno

Germany’s massive label conglomerate ZYX will be releasing a two-disc compilation entitled “Minimal Techno” shortly after the beginning of the new year to add to their growing collection of series which includes the Booka Shade supported “Elektromat vol. 1”.
ZYX has a large collection of sub-labels to its name having released works from artists like John Acquiviva, Tom Jones and Creedence Clearwater Revival under various arms of their corporation including dance music imprints Dubmental Records and Terapia.
While the final tracklisting for the compilation is still not known a provisional list of music has been announced on the ZYX website. Thankfully there is no mention of Tom Jones but there are plenty of artists from Traum Schallplatten including new signing Larsson and old hand Cosmic Sandwich. Sven Vath’s Cocoon label also looks set to share in the royalties with Dominik Eulberg’s ‘Bionik’ and ‘After Ibiza’ from Pig & Dan both making the shortlist.
“Minimal Techno” will be released in Japan on January 5.
