Everybody’s favourite breakbeat duo Hybrid is about to invade music stores everywhere with their new long player “I Choose Noise”. You may’ve already been lucky enough to catch a taste of the album with the EP of the same title that appeared online as a digital download earlier this month.
The Hybrid gang have once again teamed up with longtime collaborator Kirsty Hawkshaw who is probably best known for her work with another group from the Distinctive roster, Way Out West. Also lending their vocal chords to Hybrid’s third album are Perry Farrel and Peter DiStefano of Jane’s Addiction and Porno for Pyros fame respectively, which gives this project a rock edge that will be new to many long-standing fans.
Harry Gregson Williams and his trusty Seattle Orchestra went back into the studio with the Welsh lads to try and recreate some of the magic from “Wider Angle”. Listen out for those 36 piece action on the new album’s title track.
“I Choose Noise” is out on Distinctive this September.
