British hard dance star BK was forced to cancel an appearance at last weekend's Global Gathering after flight cancellations and safety concerns meant he was unable to fly back from America in time.
The globetrotting producer's problems arose when his first flight from Denver to Toronto was cancelled without explanation, then his follow up plane was forced to land in Kansas after fuel problems forced the pilot to make an emergency stop.
"That was when I realized I would miss the last connecting flight home and Global Gathering," BK told Skrufff this week, "Gutted was not the word as I had to wait 12 hours for the next flight. To add insult to injury, when I got back to England they had lost all my luggage."
Despite his travel problems, he was lucky to fly through Toronto when he did, since several days later an Air France airbus burst into flames when it overshot the runway after being damaged in a lightning storm. All flights to the airport were subsequently cancelled or diverted for a number of days after the crash.
BK also revealed he's started experiencing more travel delays generally because of increased security checks and said he's considering introducing a policy of avoiding overseas trips before major festivals in the future.
"Immigration and customs defiantly take a lot longer," he confirmed, "I now often have to completely empty my record bag and they go through it very carefully with swabs."
