Tidy Trax have been forced to relocate their upcoming venue from Castleford's X Site to Leeds University after fire inspectors' refused to licence the brand new ski centre over safety issues.
The bank holiday bash will now be taking place at student venue Stylus, running from 4pm to midnight on the same May 1st date, with a similar line-up of stars including Lisa Lashes, Amber D, Tara Reynolds and the Tidy Boys, though tickets will be GBP15 instead of GBP21.
"This is a really shitty situation that is not of our making," said Russell Pate, Managing Director of tidy, "We are determined to make the best of a bad situation and we hope that you'll appreciate that here at Tidy we feel the party must go on."
Xsite's venue owners said the ski centre is now due to open mid May and said the 'infrastructure problems were beyond their control.
"We would like to apologise to all those who had planned to attend any of the affected events, we are sorry, not only to the promoters who have all been working extremely hard to make their events memorable, but also to the customers who have bought tickets," they said. "We share the frustrations of our clients and are grateful for their understanding."
Tidy are offering all ticket holders refunds though their cut off time is 5pm on Wednesday 27th April, they stressed.
"All existing ticket holders are entitled to a FULL REFUND or a PART REFUND (the ?6 ticket difference) when you contact tidy HQ on events@tidy.com ,"Tidy add. "Please note we need your request in writing so please do not call the office to arrange your refund. You have until 5pm on Wednesday 27th April to request a refund'.
