Warp Records unique solo artists Jamie Lidell has announced details of the long awaited follow up to his debut album, 'Muddlin Gear' with a new three track single 'When I come Back Around' on the 16 May followed by the Album, 'Multiply' in June. The album also includes a separate DVD by visual collaborator Pablo Fiasco containing footage of their films and live performances from the last year.
Described as a modern classic by the lucky few that have listened to it the new album fuses twisted electronic R+B giving the power championed by vocalists such as Marvin Gaye, Otis Reading and AL Green a distinctly contemporary edge. Jamie's unique solo performances have made him a icon of advanced electronic music, his soulful voice mixed with astonishing live musical experiments delivering a mind boggling mixture of future music with traditional harmony.
In promotion of the new album Jamie has announced a series of tour dates in the UK as well as an endless summer on the festival circuit. (Matt Cheetham)
