Throughout July
Join the faithful masses to bid a fond farewell to the Hartnoll brothers as some of the pioneers of modern electronic music, Orbital, embark on their farewell tour.
Formed over 10 years ago during the height of acid house their first single entered the charts at number 17, almost unheard of in those days for a track that was initially made to test the recording quality on their fathers tape recorder. Since then they have released 9 albums, countless singles and toured the world many times over, their live show earning them as much of a reputation as the music they make. Always paying special attention to a show's visuals the duo were the first group to integrate provocative imagery into live electronic performances
Deciding to call it a day, go their separate ways and pursue individual careers it will be a sorry farewell for thousands of dedicated Orbital fans worldwide who will only have the final offering from the group, their final studo album 'The Blue Album' out on June 21st June (Japanese release scheduled for 3rd July), to console themselves with.
It will be even more special in Japan as the final ever live show they perform together as Orbital will take place at the Wire 04 festival in Tokyo on Sunday 18th July.
