GRADE FESTIVAL

16-18th July @ Somewhere near Reading, UK

With the phenomenal sell-out success of Glastonbury for the past who knows how many years the organisers of The Glade stage have decided to do another festival by themselves.

Renowned for the quality of electronic artists they have on their stage at Glastonbury their first solo adventure into the festival world looks like its going to be unforgettable with one of the best line-ups of the summer so far.

Deciding to call it a day, go their separate ways and pursue individual careers it will be a sorry farewell for thousands of dedicated Orbital fans worldwide who will only have the final offering from the group, their final studo album 'The Blue Album' out on June 21st June (Japanese release scheduled for 3rd July), to console themselves with.

The organisers say they are trying to get back to the original festival spirit at festivals like Glastonbury before they became too big and lost it. I n true rave style they aren't giving away the location of the festival until just before the event, just that its going to be in 2000 acres of woodland somewhere south of Reading.

Organisers say that the limited 5,500 tickets are close to selling out fast and with the line-up, and the relatively cheap tickets, its easy to see why.

Of course all the top global Djs will be playing, Timo Maas, Freq Nasty, Squarepusher, Plaid, 808 State, Plump Djs, Matthew Herbert, B.L.I.M., Mixmaster Morris etc etc etcc. but this festival is really about creating a festival vibe that has been lost at many of the bigger events. A visual feast for all attending the festival site will have as many non musical attractions such as Stilt Walking S&M Fire Twirlers, Buddhists Monks, Juggling Punks, a Woodland Chill, a Vegas Casino thrill, massages and energetic healing, cocktails and a disco feeling and roving raving poet. What more could you ask for on a trip in the countryside?
